An Air Berlin Boeing 737-800, registration D-ABBJ performing flight AB-2540 from Leipzig (Germany) to Antalya (Turkey), was enroute at FL370 about 20nm northwest of Brno (Czech Republic) when the crew requested to descend due to pressurization problems and was cleared to any flight level down to FL100. The crew commenced a rapid descent to FL100 declaring Mayday and requested a diversion to Budapest (Hungary). About two minutes after the aircraft levelled at FL100 the crew decided to return to Leipzig and cancelled the emergency. The aircraft returned to Leipzip maintaining FL100 all the way, subsequently diverted to Berlin Tegel and landed safely in Berlin about 75 minutes after leaving FL370.

A replacement Boeing 738-800 registration D-ABMS reached Antalya with a delay of 6 hours.
