A Lufthansa Cargo Boeing 777-200 freighter, registration D-ALFA performing flight GEC-8164 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 3 crew, was descending towards Toronto when the crew declared emergency reporting gear indication issues and possibly blown main tyres. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Toronto's runway 23 about 20 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance determined the pressure was low on two of the six tyres and a proximity sensor unit had failed. One wheel assembly was replaced, one wheel assembly swapped with another one from the main landing gear. The proximity sensor unit was replaced.
