A Lufthansa Cargo McDonnell Douglas MD-11, registration D-ALCA performing flight GEC-8160 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was accelerating for takeoff from Frankfurt's runway 25C when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed due to trouble with the nose wheel steering. The aircraft came to a stop on the runway about 250 meters/820 feet down the runway and remained in that position for about 30 minutes before it was towed to the apron.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Frankfurt about 26 hours after the rejected takeoff.
