A TEN Airways McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration YR-OTY performing flight OTJ-844 from Tel Aviv (Israel) to Kerkyra (Greece) with 160 people on board, was climbing out of Tel Aviv when the crew needed to shut down an engine (JT8D) and return to Tel Aviv for a safe landing.

A replacement MD-83 registration YR-HBD reached Corfu with a delay of about 12 hours.
