An Iberia Airbus A330-300, registration EC-LUK performing flight IB-6117 from Madrid,SP (Spain) to Miami,FL (USA), was enroute at FL340 about 150nm west of Porto about to enter the Oceanic crossing when the crew decided to turn around and return to Madrid due to a failed engine (CF6) oil indicator. The aircraft entered a hold at FL180 for about 30 minutes and landed safely back in Madrid about 75 minutes after turning around.

A replacement Airbus A330-300 registration EC-LUX reached Miami as flight IB-17 with a delay of 4 hours.
