An Austrian Arrows Fokker 100, registration OE-LVN performing flight OS-793 from Vienna (Austria) to Sofia (Bulgaria), was climbing out of Vienna's runway 16 when the crew received an unsafe indication for the nose gear after retracting the gear. The aircraft levelled off at 6000 feet and returned to Vienna's runway 11 for a safe landing about 20 minutes after departure.

A replacement Fokker 100 registration OE-LVH reached Sofia with a delay of 2 hours.

The airline told Austrian Wings the crew received indication that the nose gear had not completely retracted.
