A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-200, registration CS-TOH performing flight TP-59 from Lisbon (Portugal) to Brasilia,DF (Brazil) with 203 passengers, was enroute over the Atlantic about 3.5 hours into the flight when the crew decided to return to Lisbon due to abnormal engine (PW4168) indications. The aircraft landed safely back in Lisbon about 7 hours after departure.

The airline reported the commander of the aircraft decided to return to Lisbon due to indications of a malfunction of the engines.

A replacement Airbus A330-200 registration CS-TOF departed the following day as flight TP-2541 and reached Brasilia with a delay of 23 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service on Jun 19th 2014.
