An Aeroflot Ilyushin IL-96, registration RA-96010 parked at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport for being sold off the airline with nobody on board, caught fire. Emergency services responded and managed to put the fire out, the aircraft however sustained substantial damage beyond repair.

The Airport reported the fire was result of spontaneous combustion, the fire was brought under control. The airport continued to operate normally.
