A Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration G-JEDR performing flight BE-756 from Waterford (Ireland) to Birmingham,EN (UK), was backtracking Waterford's runway and turning around to line up for departure when one of the wheels went off paved surface leaving the aircraft disabled on the runway.

The airport is currently closed until the aircraft can be moved back onto paved surface, an arriving Aer Lingus flight diverted to Cork (Ireland).

Birmingham now shows the flight estimated to arrive with a delay of 4:20 hours.
