A Transavia Boeing 737-800, registration PH-BXH performing flight HV-6331 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Valencia,SP (Spain), was departing runway 18L when the crew reported they suspected a bird strike advising in lack of abnormal indications they would continue the flight. A runway inspection found a dead buzzard on the runway prompting the crew, in consultation with dispatch, to stop the climb at FL240 and return to Amsterdam for a safe landing on runway 27 about 35 minutes after departure.

The aircraft departed again after about 80 minutes on the ground and is estimated to reach Valencia with a delay of 2 hours.
