A Lufthansa Embraer ERJ-190, registration D-AEBG performing flight LH-1644 from Munich (Germany) to Gdansk (Poland), was in the initial climb out of Munich when the crew reported they had burst a left hand main gear tyre and stopped the climb at 5000 feet. The aircraft subsequently entered a holding at FL070 to burn off fuel, performed a low approach to runway 26R to have the gear inspected from the ground and landed safely on Munich's runway 26R about 40 minutes after departure.

A passenger reported the crew announced they had blown a left hand tyre on takeoff, were doing a low pass to Munich and subsequently landed safely.

The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto the next flights to Gdansk.
