A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N632JB performing flight B6-1557 from Fort Lauderdale,FL (USA) to Bogota (Colombia) with 141 people on board, was climbing out Fort Lauderdale when the crew stopped the climb at 16,000 feet declaring emergency and advising they could barely hear ATC due to heavy rain. After the aircraft was vectored clear of the weather the crew reported they had lost their left hand engine's (V2527) hydraulic pump. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Orlando,FL due to weather and landed safely on Orlando's runway 18R about 80 minutes after departure.

The airline reported no emergency was declared, the crew received indication of a mechanical malfunction.

The incident aircraft was able to continue the flight and is estimated to reach Bogota with a delay of 6 hours.
