A Shuttle America Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of United, registration N638RW performing flight S5-3555/UA-3555 from Montreal,QC (Canada) to Houston,TX (USA) with 64 people on board, was climbing out of Montreal when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet reporting they needed to shut the right hand engine (CF34). The aircraft returned to Montreal for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the crew received a ENG2 LO OIL PRESS message, worked the relevant checklist and shut the engine down. The aircraft returned to Montreal for a safe overweight landing. Maintenance replaced the oil pressure transmitter.
