A Mesa Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of United, registration N522LR performing flight YV-3752/UA-3752 from Oklahoma City,OK to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) with 69 people on board, was enroute at FL310 about 40nm northeast of Tulsa,OK when the crew reported electrical problems and decided to divert to Tulsa. Both approach and tower controller made sure the crew understood the threshold of Tulsa's main runway 18L had been temporarily displaced by 1500 feet due to work in progress with workers and barriers in that area, though the workers had been moved off the runway for the arrival of the CRJ. The aircraft landed safely on runway 18L about 16 minutes later.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
