A Fedex Federal Express Airbus A310-300, registration N809FD performing positioning flight FX-9083 from Memphis,TN to Anchorage,AK (USA) with 2 crew, was enroute at FL360 about 230nm northwest of Edmonton,AB (Canada) when the crew noticed decreasing oil quantity indications for the left hand engine (PW4152), consulted with company dispatch and decided to divert to Edmonton before overflying high ground. While on approach to Edmonton upon extending the flaps the crew received a flaps fault indication and aborted the approach. After working the related checklists the crew performed a slats extended flaps up landing at a higher than normal speed.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced a faulty oil pump, the flaps problem was caused by a torque limiter, the problem was corrected.
