An IRS Airlines Fokker 100, registration 5N-HIR performing flight LVB-3390 from Lagos to Kaduna (Nigeria) with 89 passengers, developed a hydraulic fault on approach to Kaduna but continued for a safe landing. The aircraft stopped on the runway and was towed to the apron.

Nigeria's Civil Aviation Authority denied Nigerian media reports of a crash landing stating, that the aircraft did not even perform an emergency landing. During approach to Kaduna the aircraft developed a minor hydraulic fault and needed to be towed off the runway.

The airline reported that the crew of 5N-HIR received a low hydraulic pressure warning for hydraulic system 1. The crew requested Kaduna's control tower to have a look at the landing gear to verify whether it was all down, then proceeded to land and decided to stop on the runway.
