A Cyprus Airways Airbus A319-100, registration 5B-DCN performing flight CY-303 (dep Oct 12th) from Vienna (Austria) to Larnaca (Cyprus), was enroute at FL370 about 30nm east of Thessaloniki and 160nm north of Athens (Greece) when the crew declared PAN reporting a cracked windshield and descended the aircraft to FL230. The aircraft diverted to Athens for a safe landing on runway 03R about 40 minutes later.

The passengers were rebooked onto other flights.

A listener on frequency reported the crew declared PAN and requested descent to FL230 due to a cracked windshield and diverted.

The incident aircraft was able to position to Larnaca the following day about 16 hours after landing and resumed service.
