A United Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration N466UA performing flight UA-402 from Rochester,NY to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was enroute at FL320 near London,ON (Canada) when the crew requested a descent. While descending through FL260 about 25nm west of London,ON (Canada) the crew declared emergency reporting problems with the cabin pressure and initiated a rapid descent to 10,000 feet reaching 10,000 feet about 4 minutes later (averate rate of descent 4000 fpm). The aircraft continued to Chicago for a safe landing on runway 22R about one hour later.

The Canadian TSB reported on May 31st that the crew noticed the cabin climbed above 9000 feet while the aircraft was enroute about 25nm west of London VOR. The crew donned their oxygen masks and executed an emergency descent to 10,000 feet, the cabin reached a maximum altitude of 12,500 feet below the trigger to deploy passenger oxygen masks. In consultation with maintenance the crew managed to re-activate the #2 cabin pressure controller and continued to destination at 8000 feet. Maintenance replaced both cabin pressure controllers.
