An Adria Airways Canadair CRJ-900, registration S5-AAL performing charter flight JP-983 from Zagreb (Croatia) to Sofia (Bulgaria) carrying the soccer team of Dinamo Zagreb to their Euroleague match in Sofia on Oct 3rd, had already reached cruise level about half way between Zagreb and Belgrade (Serbia), approximately 90nm southeast of Zagreb, when the aircraft turned around due to problems with the aircraft's right hand wing anti-ice systems and diverted to Ljubljana (Slovenia) about 70nm northwest of Zagreb, where the aircraft landed safely.

A replacement CRJ-900 registration S5-AAO reached Sofia with a delay of about 4.5 hours.

Dinamo Zagreb reported they were told about technical problems with the right hand wing, the aircraft diverted to Ljubljana, where they waited until a new aircraft took them to Sofia.

The airline reported an Angle of Attack sensor's heating malfunctioned about 20 minutes after departure, the aircraft diverted to the airline's base at Ljubljana.
