An Adria Airways Airbus A319-100, registration S5-AAX performing flight JP-162 from Maribor (Slovenia) to London Southend,EN (UK), was descending towards London's Southend Airport when the crew reported a hydraulic failure. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Southend's runway 06, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron. Ground personnel observed hydraulic fluid dripping from the aircraft and contaminating the stand.

The occurrence aircraft was able to perform the return flight JP-163 the following day about 19 hours after landing and reached Maribor with a delay of 17.5 hours.
