A Wings Abadi Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-500, registration PK-WFV performing flight IW-1787 from Ambon to Makassar (Indonesia) with 76 people on board, was on approach to Makassar when one of the engines caused serious vibrations to the airframe. The crew continued for a safe landing.

The French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin quoting Indonesian Authorities, that a propeller roller blade support fractured in flight at 16:28L (08:28Z). The occurrence is rated a serious incident, an investigation by Indonesian NTSC is under way.

In the final report to another incident, see Incident: Braathens AT72 near Visby on Nov 30th 2014, engine shut down in flight, Sweden's SHK quoted the BEA stating, that the occurrence of PK-WFV was similiar to the Braathens AT72. PK-WFV suffered severe vibrations while descending at 251 KIAS with power levers at flight idle. The blade angle forward plate was found bent and one propeller blade turning freely as its trunnion pin was broken, two engine fitting fractured. The investigation is led by Indonesia's NTSC (aka KNKT).
