An Air Transat Airbus A310-300, registration C-FDAT performing flight TS-523 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 245 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 65nm southwest of Goose Bay,NL (Canada) when the crew detected the quantity indication for the green hydraulic system decreased soon followed by a "Green HYD SYS LOW LVL" ECAM warning. The crew worked the relevant checklists, advised ATC and consulted with dispatch. As no other system degradation was apparent the crew continued to Toronto, extended the gear manually and landed safely on Toronto's runway 15L, but needed to be towed off the runway due to the loss of nose wheel steering.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance identified the #2 engine hydraulic pump case drain tube had cracked and cross threaded on the fitting. The company follows up with the repair facility responsible for this portion of the recent engine refurbishment. The tube and fitting were replaced.
