A JAL Japan Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration JA007D performing flight JL-304 from Fukuoka to Tokyo Haneda (Japan) with 238 passengers and 12 crew, was climbing out of Fukuoka when the crew received abnormal engine oil indications for the right hand engine (PW4084) and shut the engine down. The aircraft returned to Fukuoka for a safe landing about 30 minutes after departure.

Japan's Ministry of Transport reported the engine suffered an oil leak. The runway was closed for 12 minutes for an inspection and cleaning.
