A British Airways Boeing 747-400, registration G-CIVX performing flight BA-25 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Hong Kong (China) with 298 passengers, was climbing out of London's runway 27L when the crew could not fully retract the landing gear, stopped the climb at FL130 and entered a hold to dump fuel before returning to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 27R about 90 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 747-400 registration G-BYGF reached Hong Kong with a delay of 22 hours.
