A UTAir Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of United Nations, registration VQ-BGU performing flight UN-880 from Kinshasa to Kisangani (Democratic Republic of Congo) with 29 passengers and 3 crew, was climbing through 8000 feet out of Kinshasa when the crew received indication of the decreasing pressure of the hydraulic system #1. The crew stopped the climb and returned to Kinshasa for a safe landing.

Rosaviatsia reported maintenance discovered an o-ring had been rushed into a fitting causing a leak, another leak occurred at the engine pylon due to a faulty connection resulting in the insufficient pressure.
