A UTAir Canadair CRJ-100 on behalf of United Nations, registration VQ-BGU performing flight UNO-880 from Kisangani (DR Congo) to Entebbe (Uganda) with 10 passengers and 3 crew, was on final approach to Entebbe having been cleared to land by Entebbe's tower at 13:20L (10:20Z), when about 1.6nm before touchdown the crew noticed a Let L-410 maneouvering for landing about 0.5nm ahead and 200 feet below. The CRJ crew went around, positioned for another approach and landed safely 7 minutes later.

Russia's Rosaviatsia reported that no TCAS target was observed. Tyumen's office (editorial note: main base of UTAir) have opened an investigation into the occurrence.
