A Spicejet de Havilland Dash 8-400, flight SG-3291 from Chennai to Tuticorin (India) with 49 people on board, landed on Tuticorin's runway at about 08:30L (03:00Z) however after the main gear touched down the aircraft pitched up causing the tail to contact the runway surface. The aircraft rolled out without further incident and taxied to the apron. No injuries occurred, the aircraft received minor damage to the tail.

The return flight was cancelled.
