A Rossiya Airbus A320-200, registration EI-DZR performing flight FV-662 from Sochi to Saint Petersburg (Russia) with 114 passengers and 6 crew, had just lifted the nosegear for rotation from runway 24 when the crew heard a bang followed by severe vibrations of the airframe until the main gear lifted off. The crew continued the flight to Saint Petersburg where the aircraft landed safely about 165 minutes later.

Rosaviatsia reported a post flight examination showed the #3 main tyre's tread had separated along the entire circumference. The debris caused damage to two hydraulic lines and dents to the trailing edge right hand flaps. Further examination of the tyre revealed the rubber was also peeling inside the tyre.

The aircraft is still on the ground 4 days later.
