An Allegiant McDonnell Douglas MD-88, flight G4-256 from Las Vegas,NV to Stockton,CA (USA), had lined up Las Vegas' runway 07L at intersection A8. Following departure, after being handed off to departure, the crew reported a mechanical issue requiring them to return to Las Vegas and levelled off at 8000 feet. ATC advised other aircraft, that they now had another emergency and inquired about times available until diversions became necessary. The Allegiant crew later followed up reporting they had mechanical issues which prevented one of the engines running at high power, they did not declare emergency and did not need assistance. The aircraft landed safely on runway 07R about 15 minutes after departure, while the first emergency was still checked on runway 07L.
