A Vueling Airbus A320-200, registration EC-KRH performing charter flight VY-1837 from Dortmund (Germany) to London Stansted,EN (UK) with 162 Borussia Dortmund fans heading for the Champions League final, was climbing out of Dortmund's runway 06, when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet reporting a bleed air problem (engine type CFM56), entered a hold for about 30 minutes and then returned to Dortmund for a safe landing on Dortmund's runway 24 about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement A320 registration EC-LAB was dispatched to Dortmund with priority and departed for the flight to London with a delay of 7 hours and reached London just in time for busses waiting at Stansted Airport to be able deliver the fans to the Wembley Stadium before the begin of the match of Borussia Dortmund against Bayern Munich.

A passenger reported the crew indicated problems with oxygen prior to the return to Dortmund.

The airport reported the aircraft returned due to a technical problem, further details were not known.
