A Vladivostok Avia Airbus A320-200, registration VQ-BCG performing flight XF-4656 from Khabarovsk (Russia) to Harbin (China), was climbing out of Khabarovsk when the crew received indication of mismatches of the inertial reference systems. The crew continued the flight on GPS, however, about 2 minutes before passing the country border to China the GPS no longer received data causing the failure of navigation systems, the autopilot and autothrust systems disconnected. The crew decided to return to Khabarovsk and requested to turn around, while waiting for clearance by Harbin ATC the navigation systems recovered. The crew consulted with dispatch and decided to continue the flight to Harbin, where the aircraft landed safely.

Rosaviatsia reported that the aircraft was examined and checklists actioned at Harbin, the aircraft was able to return without further incident. According to Airbus the fault of the IRSs was caused by movement of the aircraft on the ground while the IRSs were aligning.
