An Air China Boeing 777-300, registration B-2037 performing flight CA-933 from Beijing (China) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 217 people on board, was enroute at FL340 about 45nm southeast of Vilnius (Lithuania) when the crew needed to shut the left hand engine (GE90) down and diverted to Stockholm (Sweden) for a safe landing on runway 01L about 65 minutes later.

The aircraft, that had done its maiden flight on Apr 1st 2013, is still on the ground in Stockholm (standing May 13th 15:30Z). Aviation sources in China suggest the aircraft needs an engine change and may be on the ground for up to 45 days.
