An Aeromexico Connect Embraer ERJ-170, registration XA-ACQ performing flight 5D-2616/AM-2616 from Monterrey to Toluca (Mexico) with 66 passengers and 4 crew, landed on Toluca's runway 33 at 16:33L (21:33Z) but burst both left main tyres. The aircraft came to a safe stop on the runway but was disabled.

The runway 15/33 was closed for about 4 hours until the aircraft could be towed off the runway.

The airport confirmed XA-ACQ, flight 5D-2616 with 66 passengers and 4 crew, suffered an incident while landing at Toluca, a number of flights diverted to other airports as a result.
