A Chengdu Airlines Airbus A319-100, registration B-6229 performing flight EU-2229 from Chengdu to Nanning (China), performed an ILS approach to Nanning's runway 05 on autopilot in runway visibility range of 225 meters and cloud ceiling at 100 feet, well below required minima, for a safe landing at 08:37L (00:37Z). While taxiing towards the apron the aircraft had to stop due to losing all visual reference with the taxiway.

The airline confirmed the incident reporting they immediately grounded all 3 cockpit crew. A replacement crew performed the return flight.

Nanning features a runway 05/23 of 3200 meters/10,500 feet length, runway 05 features a category I capable ILS requiring at least 60 meters/197 feet vertical visibility and 550 meters runway visibility range, VOR/DME approaches exist for runway 05 and 23.
