At the time a number of Ukrainian freight aircraft had been parking at the apron, when a suspicious drone was found near the aircraft, the airport was closed causing D-ALEU and subsequent to go around. Climbing through about 1300 feet the aircraft collided with an unknown object. Police dispatched specialists to defuse a possible explosive charge.
Police (LKA) later reported that the drone was indeed carrying an unknown detonation device. State Security was called in. The device has been defused in the meantime.
NATO reported a drone carrying explosives was found in Leipzig. A DHL aircraft collided with another drone on go around.
DHL reported a possible incident at Leipzig.
