A Wizz Air UK Airbus A321-200N, registration G-WUNC performing flight W9-5753 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Marrakesh (Morocco), was descending towards Marrakesh when the crew stopped the descent at about 7000 feet, climbed back to FL100 and entered a hold for about 20 minutes. Subsequently the crew decided to divert to Casablanca, climbed to FL200 and landed on Casablanca's runway 17R about 65 minutes after stopping the descent towards Marrakesh.

Morocco's BEA opened an investigation into the occurrence rated an incident stating the aircraft was "Short of fuel."

The aircraft remained on the ground in Casablanca for about 2 hours, then continued to Marrakesh and arrived with a delay of about 3.5 hours.
