An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100, registration C-FYJE performing flight RV-1833/AC-1833 from Antigua (Antigua) to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 134 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 310nm northeast of Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) when the crew decided to divert to Punta Cana due to fumes on board. The aircraft landed safely on Punta Cana's runway 09 about one hour later.

The Canadian TSB reported: "During cruise, fumes were reported in the cabin affecting multiple flight attendants. One flight attendant became unresponsive during taxi-in after diversion to Punta Canada International Airport (MDPC), Dominican Republic. Medical assistance was provided on arrival. The flight was cancelled and the passengers were deplaned."

The occurrence aircraft positioned to Torono on Nov 18th 2025 and resumed service afterwards.
