An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100, registration C-FYJE performing flight RV-1802 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Kingston (Jamaica) with 128 people on board, was on approach to Kingston when the crew selected the flaps down but received a flaps fault. The crew went around, worked the related checklists but was unable to resolve the problem. The crew therefore declared PAN advising a flaps up landing was needed and subsequently landed safely at a higher than normal speed.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the mechanical drive unit slightly out of rig causing the flaps fault message. The unit was adjusted with no further issues found during tests.
