A Fedex Federal Express McDonnel Douglas MD-10-30, registration N313FE performing freight flight FX-3610 from Los Angeles,CA to Indianapolis,IN (USA) with 2 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 140nm southeast of Denver,CO (USA) when the crew reported they had a windshield malfunction, needed to slow down their airspeed and requested to divert to Denver. Descending through FL270 the crew declared emergency reporting the windshield had shattered and advised they wanted to get down onto the ground as quickly as possible. The aircraft descended through 10,000 feet about 18 minutes after leaving FL350 and landed safely on Denver's runway 35L about 30 minutes after leaving FL350.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service 12.5 hours after landing.
