A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration N194DN reached New York with a delay of about 29 hours.
The occurrence aircraft remained in Keflavik until Oct 25th 2025, then positioned to Atlanta,GA (USA) and resumed service on Nov 2nd 2025.
On Nov 19th 2025 the Canadian TSB reported: "While at FL350 in cruise flight at about 55°13' N, 031°03' W, the flight crew detected an audible thump and observed the number 1 engine (Pratt & Whitney PW4060) decelerate and shut down. The flight crew then disconnected the autopilot and autothrottles and performed the quick reference handbook procedure for Engine Failure or Shutdown which included one attempted restart on the number 1 engine. The crew noted the high engine EGT and elected to continue with the number 1 engine shut down. The crew declared an emergency and initiated a diversion to Reykjavík/Keflavík International Airport (BIKF), Iceland." and further stated: "Maintenance personnel discovered metal in the tailpipe. A borescope inspection identified significant damage that required the replacement of the number 1 engine."
