The aircraft remained on the ground for about one hour, then departed to Castro and landed at their destination without further incident.
Chile's DGAC reported: "We report that the Santiago-Mocopulli flight, this afternoon, had to avoid landing at the destination aerodrome because an aircraft from an air club in the area came closer than recommended to the flight path, reasons that will be investigated by the DGAC Chile."
