A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N715JB performing flight B6-374 from Fort Lauderdale,FL to New York La Guardia,NY (USA), was on final approach to La Guardia's runway 22 when the crew reported an unsafe gear indication, actually a gear door problem, and went around. The crew positioned the aircraft for another approach to runway 22 but went around again this time reporting the gear doesn't indicate down and locked at all, tower responding the gear appeared to be down. The crew decided to divert to New York's JFK Airport for the longer runway. On final approach to JFK's runway 31L the crew reported they had just received a normal down and locked gear indication with all gear doors in their proper positions and landed safely on JFK's runway 31L about 15 minutes after aborting the second approach.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration N505JB flew from JFK to LGA Airport about 2.5 hours after landing and reached La Guardia with a delay of 2:40 hours.

The incident aircraft was able to resume service out of JFK about 7 hours after landing.
