A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9, registration D-ABPD performing flight LH-753 from Hyderabad (India) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany) with 196 passengers and 13 crew, was accelerating for takeoff from Hyderabad's runway 09R when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (about 150 knots over ground). The aircraft slowed safely and briefly stopped on the runway, then vacated the runway and stopped on the parallel taxiway.

The flight was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Hyderabad about 16 hours after the rejected takeoff.

The airport reported the aircraft rejected takeoff due to a problem with the nosewheels.

The airline reported the aircraft vacated the runway after the rejected takeoff, a number of tyres deflated as result of the hard braking. The passengers disembarked via stairs.

On May 23rd 2025 The Aviation Herald received preliminary information, that the crew rejected takeoff at 143 KIAS (V1: 170 KIAS) due to an incident in the forward galley. Following the rejected takeoff 7 of 8 main tyres deflated. Crew and passenger disembarked via stairs.

On May 31st 2025 The Aviation Herald received additional information, that there had been some issues in the cabin prior to departure, so that the third pilot started monitoring the cabin via the camera. After being cleared for a rolling takeoff and during lining up an oven door in the forward galley opened and some china fell out. The engines had stabilized and the aircraft was accelerating for takeoff. One of the forward flight attendants got up to secure the oven and prevent further food to fall out, but slipped on the food already on the floor and fell down. The forward collegue saw the the entire rack in the oven move and possibly fall onto the flight attendant on the floor possibly causing injuries, got up and rushed towards the oven. This movement was noticed on the camera in the cockpit, the third pilot noticed a flight attendant on the floor and the other rushing over obviously to help and notified the captain about the obvious emergency. Accelerating through 140 KIAS (with V1 at 170 KIAS) the captain rejected takeoff. After coming to a stop the captain instructed cabin crew to take their emergency positions, all flight attendants (including the one who had had fallen down) took their positions. It became quickly clear that no emergency existed and the aircraft taxied off the runway, but brakes temperatures increased and the safety valves at seven of eight tyres opened disabling the aircraft on the taxiway. The passengers disembarked via stairs.
