A Kalitta Boeing 777-200 freighter, registration N772CK performing flight K4-9772 from Oscoda,MI to Cincinnati,KY (USA) with 5 crew, was climbing through FL400 out of Oscoda when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit and decided to divert to Detroit,MI (USA), where the aircraft landed safely on runway 21L about 30 minutes later.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Detroit for about 37 hours, then continued to Cincinnati and is still on the ground in Cincinnati about 24 hours after landing in Cincinnati.
