A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N172DZ performing flight DL-34 (dep Feb 12th) from Newark,NJ (USA) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), was enroute over the Atlantic Ocean when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (CF6) down. The aircraft drifted down to FL230 and diverted to Dublin (Ireland) for a safe landing on runway 10.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto other flights.
