An Arkia Embraer ERJ-195, registration 4X-EMC performing flight IZ-163 from Tel Aviv (Israel) to Larnaca (Cyprus), was climbing through FL240 out of Tel Aviv when the captain's cockpit window developed cracks prompting the crew to return to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport for a safe landing.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Tel Aviv about 8 hours after landing.

Passengers reported a bus took them directly to a replacement aircraft.
