A Smartwings Boeing 737-800, registration HA-LKG performing QS-1449 from Marsa Alam (Egypt) to Brno (Czech Republic), had landed on Brno's runway 27 when while taxiing to vacate the runway the crew received a wheel fire indication. The crew declared Mayday and stopped the aircraft clear of the runway. Emergency services did not find any trace of fire, heat or smoke. The indication extinguished but reactivated again prompting emergency services to attend to the aircraft until all passengers had disembarked.

The aircraft had suffered the same problem 5 days earlier, see Incident: Smartwings B738 at Marsa Alam on May 19th 2024, wheel well fire indications.

Czechia's UZPLN reported maintenance now found a fault with the sensor element, the element was replaced. There has been no repeat anymore afterwards.
