A RAM Royal Air Maroc Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration CN-COE performing flight AT-925 from Seville,SP (Spain) to Casablanca (Morocco), was taxiing for departure from Seville's runway 27 when the crew missed the turn onto taxiway A, crossed the hold short line ahead of runway 27 at taxiway E1 at about 12:08:45Z and stopped about 40 meters/125 feet past the hold short line but before the runway edge line at 14:08:56L (12:08:56Z).

At 14:08:32L (12:08:32Z) a Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DYC performing flight FR-3262 from Seville,SP (Spain) to Cork (Ireland), had begun their takeoff run on runway 27, accelerated through about 120 knots over ground at 12:08:45Z and became airborne at about 14:08:59L (12:08:59Z) about 520 meters/1700 feet short of the intersection E1. The Boeing continued their flight to Cork for a safe landing without further incident.

The ATR subsequently taxied onto the runway, vacated the runway via E2 and returned to the apron. The aircraft began taxi again at 15:12L (13:12Z), this time took the turn correctly, departed at 15:26L (13:26Z) and landed without further incident in Casablanca with a delay of about 65 minutes.

The Aviation Herald became aware of the occurrence by Spain's CIAIAC opening an investigation (without any further information) into an occurrence on Jun 19th 2024 involving CN-ROE and EI-DYC at Seville Airport. ADS-B data transmitted by both aircraft as result revealed the runway incursion.
