An Anadolujet Boeing 737-800 on behalf of THY Turkish Airlines, registration TC-JZU performing flight TK-7874 from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (Turkey) to Copenhagen (Denmark), was accelerating for takeoff from Sabiha Gokcen's runway 24R when the right hand engine (CFM56) emitted streaks of flame prompting the crew to reject takeoff at high speed. The aircraft slowed safely and returned to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration TC-JFD reached Copenhagen with a delay of about 2.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 24 hours after the rejected takeoff.
