An Air Canada Airbus A320-200, registration C-FZQS performing flight AC-944 from Montreal,QC (Canada) to Orlando,FL (USA) with 132 people on board, was descending through 15,000 feet towards Orlando when the left hand generator (engine CFM56) and associated AC bus #1 failed. The crew declared PAN, actioned the relevant checklists and continued for a safe landing on Orlando' runway 18L about 15 minutes later and was towed to the gate.

The Canadian TSB reported the #1 integrated drive generator and the #1 bus tie contactor were replaced.

The aircraft was able to depart for the return flight AC-945 and reached Toronto with a delay of 3:40 hours.
